Started with the 1974 and it held strong so we continued to consume it throughout dinner. We weren't sure this would survive that long.

1974 Chateau St. Jean Cabernet Sauvignon Sonoma County 92 Points

Wow, hard to believe this wine is still holding on. Mature red fruits, a caramelized note and some earth. A real joy to drink! This held up for a couple of hours and did not break down. The fill was below the neck.

Japanese Wagyu Rib roast sous vide and charred on the grill, served with crisy potatoes and mixed greens salad.

Blackberry, dark fruit, some tobacco, spice and some earth. Silky smooth and integrated on the palate. This was showing the best tonight. Finished 1st out of the 5 vintages

Similar profile to the other vintages. Dark fruits leather, tobacco and some spice, in a good spot. Performed well despite an irregular vintage in napa. This was a smooth and beautiful wine. Finished 2nd of 5.

2012 Continuum Proprietary Red 93 Points

Inline with prior vintages, but a notch below in complexity and mouthfeel vs the 2009 and 2011. Maybe bottle variation? Showed some tannin on the palate early on that faded as the night wore on. Really nice wine with dark fruits, tobacco, leather and spice. Finished 5 of the 5 vintages

2010 Continuum Proprietary Red 93 Points

The 2009, 2011 and 2013 showed better than this and the 2012. Similar profile to the other vintages. Dark fruits, tobacco, leather and some spice on the nose. Finished 4th of the 5 vintages tonight.
