2022 Domaine Anne Gros Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Nuits Cuvée Marine 90 Points
France, Burgundy, Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Nuits
Dense, good acid, straightforward white with medium finish. Oak still not integrating well but not protruding much. Ripe yellow fruits with good freshness.

A little tight initially, drier flowers, cherry, red fruited, excellent freshness, med acid, silky tannins with med to long finish. Possess complexity and depth with pronounced flavours.

Good wine but it is a little more aged than I would have preferred. Fruits mostly gone, bricking brownish on the edges, earth, some mushroom, med tannins, dusty long finish with touch of stems. Stylistically different from the rest of the 2022 at the tasting.

Spice, violet, earthy notes showing, some liqueur notes, a little hollow on the mid palate, bitter tannins but fine, lacks some freshness. Broaden and gain weight as it opens up. Showing well today but lacks a little depth on the palate.

Prominent nose of spices, touch liquorice, good body with layer of flavours, structured with good depth, fine silky elegant tannins. This is for the long haul but not showing as well as the Clo Vougeot.

Blinded, savory, candied, orange peel, some heat, good purity on the palate elegant light body, med body with med finish. Impressive wine from Minervois made in an elegant pure way. An excellent quaffer at the price.
