  • 2019 Famille Fournier-Longchamps Savennières Le Parc

    France, Loire Valley, Anjou-Saumur, Savennières

Brighter than "La Fremine" 2021 tasted before, more profound, high intensity, citrus, tense, ripe stone fruit too, some wool-y notes offering a certain "warmth"
Palate shows high intensity, mineral, citrus, lime, grapefruit, quince notes, med to full body, a touch bitter again, it shows broad shoulders, typical Savennieres, youthful still, med finish

  • 2017 Corte Canella Amarone della Valpolicella

Italy, Veneto, Valpolicella, Amarone della Valpolicella

Highly extrovert, ripe to overripe red fruit, toast, sweet notes, thin oak frame, a few bitter herbal notes, cherry candy notes.
Palate follows the same pattern, red fruit, dry tannins, med body, roasted notes, raspberry, med finish. Feels leaner than expected for an Amarone
