Ruby. Brambly, woody nose. Medium weight. Oaky, smoky dark fruit. Tart, tannic finish.

Light ruby. Light weight, moderately woody base. Earthy dark red fruit, some green notes, excellent acidity, grainy tannins. I don't love the texture.

Clear ruby core. Fragrant herbs on the nose. Elegant medium to light body with a touch of oak. Light red fruit, gently herbal, excellent acidity and soil. Supple entry followed by more grippy tannins. Not ready now.

Ruby. Menthol aroma. Medium weight, nicely sappy. Black fruit with a touch of ripeness, herb, gentle wood and soil. Good flow with a round attack backed by a more locked up tannic finish.

2022 Domaine Bart Chambertin-Clos de Bèze
France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Chambertin-Clos de Bèze Grand Cru
Deeper ruby. Serious dark fruit and smoke aromas. Medium+ body. Round, nicely ripe mix of blackberry, black cherry, and even some blue fruit. Fine acidity, some early complexity, and chocolatey tannins. I liked this and thought that it has excellent aging potential.

2022 Domaine Coquard Loison-Fleurot Echezeaux

Even ruby. Lovely complex mix of smoke, spice, and briariness. Obviously oaky foundation but not overbearing. Very glycerine feel. Fine depth of fruit, acidity, and seamless tannins. Modern, quite long, and at least excellent.
