First bottle from a 6-pack bought on release. Wonderfully rich apple and pear, both fresh and poached, faintly floral. Very good weight and depth. Very good+ now.
In vertical. Faintly reductive, but not in a bothersome way. Lemon and green apple with chiseled minerality middle-to-finish. So much depth, Needs more time. better from 2029.

Alongside Amoureuses. Still firm, this is a powerhouse. Big, bold, slightly awkward teenager, brooding and hinting at its potential, but that is Bonnes Mares at this age, as Winefool would say. First time tasting since a cellar visit in 2012. Great potential

Small glass. Engaging aromatic start with ripe red and black cherry, faintly spiced and even a bit meaty. Similar flavors with ripeness in control, less overall exciting as the aromatic start. Probably some further upside from here. A good Bourgogne.

Small glass. More black than red fruits here with just enough spice and meat in the near background, all in wonderful harmony. Good weight, very good+ balance, this is finessed and nicely layered. A great village level wine.

Small glass. Perplexing wine. A wine I enjoyed considerably in its youth, but haven't tasted in nearly a decade. Everything was understated and muted. Something wrong with this bottle?

Small glass. Spiced red fruits, mostly mature with both sweet and savory spices. Complex with great depth on its finish. Ever-so-slightly better than a 2001 RSV tasted a few weeks ago. Very good now.
Small glass. Enough sweet and tart in combination to make this wonderfully layered and complex. Lots of dried and fresh apricot that made me think of a great apricot crepe eaten on a Paris street.
Sweet and rich with impressive power, this might not be the most complex old sweet wine tasted tonight, but certainly the most rich and great for dessert.

Small glass. Very rich, very berry, clearly Pinot centric. Excellent depth and power, less finessed. A little more dosage could have made this great.
