This pours a light gold color. The nose is well balanced and harmonious with tones of Golden Grahams, red apples, nectarines, brioche, toast, yellow flowers, biscuits, and Bosc pears. There is excellent balance with this showing off a level of refinement that comes with age. The Medium bodied feel is deft, balanced, and textured with integrated, high acidity. There is excellent texture on the feel while showing off excellent balance across the nose and palate. This is right in its wheelhouse and is quite sexy.

This was a pop and pour and it’s in a gorgeous place! The structure is well integrated already and the nose has gone from being fresh and pristine to something more rounded and sexy.

The Full bodied feel is robust and polished with crisp, medium+ acidity and silky, medium tannins. The structure is really silky right now. It is extremely drinkable while it can also age for at least a few more years.

The nose is gorgeous right away, but this really opened up after 4+ hours of air. The tones of fresh Herbs, dark red cherries, raspberries, violets, tobacco leaf, crushed rocks, spice notes, cranberries, and cedar notes permeate beautifully in the glass. There is excellent depth and poise that makes you stop and take notice. The Medium bodied feel is elegant and balanced with crisp, medium+ acidity and silky, medium+ tannins. The structure does show some youth, but the vintage is likely playing into it as there is a silkiness to the structure that isn’t too overpowering right now. This is just drop dead gorgeous and perfectly shows why it’s a benchmark Cabernet Franc. The price may have gone up a lot over the years, but I’d almost say that the price just caught up to the quality.

The Medium bodied feel shows off the poise and balance of the nose while bringing some mouthwatering, high acidity. The acidity still has a bit of kick and bite to it, but it does feel like it is balancing out. The feel is lovely and deft with a good bit of length to the finish.
