From Chardonnay and Pinot Noir - 2019 base wine - partly using a solera method. Deep, slightly golden colour. Rich, yeasty, lightly oxidative nose, big and rich and biscuity on the palate too, quite aggressive mousse, vibrant citrussy acidity. Interesting!
Stone fruit again, some richness. Mediium bodied, more lemony on the palate, lightly spicy, fresh acids, nice touch of bitterness on medium/good length finish. Very good.
This is an altogether more serious wine, very peachy on the nose, mineral and vanilla notes. Medium/full bodied, rich ripe peachy fruit, pears too, lovely weight, vibrant acids, very good length finish. Excellent,.
This was quite advanced - the nose was quite oxidative - bovril and soy, some mushroom notes, and the underlying fruit was quite dark and rich. Better on the palate, layers of rich dark fruit, soft tannins, balanced acidity - but the bovril was still there. Just about drinkable still.
This was aromatic, red cherry, tea, soil touch of spice, florals. Complex. Medium bodied, bright red fruit, lovely underlying complexity, fine but firm tannins, tensile acidity, long. Very elegant. Not what I expected! Can be enjoyed now but will undoubtedly improve.
Youthful, fresh nose - ripe strawberries, touch of cinammon. Not overly complex but attractive purity. Medium bodied, fine tannins, youthful fruit, touch of spice, fresh acidity, medium/good length finish. Simple but supple and attractive. Certainly drinking.
Lovely nose, showing dark cherry, touch of smoke and nutmeg. Medium/full bodied, red and black fruit here, suypple tannins, touch of smoke, lovely bright acidity, good length already harmonious finish. Very approachable, and delicious with it.
