    Greece, Ionian, Kefalonia

    50% Roditis from Aigio, 50% Moscatella - Vostilidi - Tsaoussi - Zakynthino from Kefalonia, 12%
    Crunchy, citrus, grapefruit, green apple, a bit numb still, a bit earthy.
    Palate shows med body, brine notes, some bitter notes, med finish

  • 2023 Sclavos-Zisimatos Muscatus Temulentus

    Greece, Ionian, Kefalonia, Slopes of Aenos

    30-50yo vines, fine lees for 6 months, 12.50%
    Highly expressive, heavy floral notes, some bitterness, tropical fruit notes, pineapple, some savoury/fermented notes too.
    Palate is airy, full body, bitterness, no fruit here, some floral notes, med finish, grippy

  • 2022 Sclavos-Zisimatos Efranor

    Greece, Ionian, Kefalonia

    70% Moscatella 30% Vostilidi, 12.50%
    The wine is bolder and earthier/spicier than previous vintages, very ripe fruit, mineral, floral notes.
    Palate shows the same profile, med body, low acidity, some bitter notes, muscat profile, prickly pear, some fermented notes again, med finish

  • 2023 Sclavos-Zisimatos Vino di Sasso Robola of Cephalonia

    Greece, Ionian, Kefalonia, Robola of Cephalonia

    The wine is entirelly closed down, in a numb state. Tries to give some fruit after some moving around but quickly closes down again, some citrus and green apple notes.
    Palate with texture, med body, sesame savoury notes, low spicy notes, underripe green fruit, pear, grapefruit, mineral, med acidity, med finish.

  • 2023 Sclavos-Zisimatos Robola Lacomatia

    Greece, Ionian, Kefalonia, Robola of Cephalonia

    Dry, mineral, tight, citrus, some herbal notes.
    Palate is expressive, citrus notes again, some fresh notes, 13%, full body, med to high acidity, med to long finish.
    Spicy and earthy, rather reserved still, but not as much as Vino di Sasso

  • 2023 Sclavos-Zisimatos Zakynthino

    Greece, Ionian, Kefalonia, Slopes of Aenos

    Very light, fragrant, floral notes, some tropical fruit notes, seems more compact than previous vintages, needs time to open up.
    Palate shows vibrant acidity, steely, mineral, citrus, 12.50%, med to full body, med acidity, tropical fruit, cuts rather short.

  • 2023 Sclavos-Zisimatos Vostilidi Metagitnion

    Greece, Ionian, Kefalonia, Slopes of Aenos

    ungrafted 100yo Vostilidi vines, fermented and aged in 500lt new French oak, then transfered into Italian amphora for 4 months, 13%
    Very different style than previous vintages, very strong oak influence, very fresh oak notes, almost wood varnish.
    Palate is very smooth, easy, loads of vanilla notes, biscuit, very oak dominated, sweet spice notes, again varnish, med to full body, med acidity, med finish.
    They are going down a very weird (for them) route
