My friend Jeff throws great dinner parties. He cooks the food, and his guests bring the wine. Nice system, eh? I brought 5 bottles this time...

Everyone who tried this in our party loved it! Not my wine of the night, but probably runner up. Great raspeberry fruit with that lovely Oregon Pinot earthiness.

2002 Clos des Papes Châteauneuf-du-Pape 89 Points

Wow, nice barnyard nose, with very tasty BIG fruit on the palate. Surprising, considering this looked more like a Burgundy than a Rhone. Decanted the wine for 30-60 min, and was rewarded with a very tasty and fruit forward, although thin, wine. Not the best I have seen from CdP, but very drinkable, and I'm glad I have another bottle!

Great fruit and earthiness. Nice QPR as well! Can't beat the mix of fruit, acidity and earth that comes through on the palate.
