Casual wines at Zai Shun

Lunch at a coffee shop that is famous for fish, brief notes since I didn't drink much and was there more for the food.

  My contribution. Better showing than the last time I tried this, still rich and broad but balanced by high acidity on the midpalate. Others thought this was Meunier-dominant but I thought this had more citrus than tropical fruit. Woolly, minty note developed with time again. Seemed to be a crowd pleaser.

  High acidity and sweetness with some green apple fruit that made it seem more like a Chenin. Forward and enjoyable, but not the typical Burgundy white.

  Not a producer that I am familiar with but a fresh, classic rendition of Spätlese without any prädikat creep. Restrained for the warm vintage.
