The nose shows off some lovely and plush fruit tones of red berries, strawberries, rose petals, wild flowers, plums, crushed rocks, and herbs. There is good complexity, but there is a bit of alcohol heat coming through that is distracting. The Medium bodied feel is plush and balanced with crisp, medium+ acidity and silky, medium tannins. There didn’t seem to be any of the alcohol notes from the nose while the feel was fresh and poised. This is a very good Gamay that brings the hallmarks of the grape while being its own distinct thing.

The nose is fresh and lifted with well balanced tones of sour red cherries, pomegranate, raspberries, fresh herbs, baking spices, crushed rocks, and violets. This felt like it was holding back just slightly as it was a smidge shy. The Medium/full bodied feel is elegant and balanced with crisp, medium+ acidity and silky, medium tannins. This could certainly benefit from another 3+ years to fully round into form and express itself.

The nose is perfumed and enticing with well deftly balanced tones of raspberries, pomegranate, plums, black cherries, licorice, fresh herbs, baking spices, violets, and some heady perfumes. There is very good depth while this gives off the sense that it is still holding back a bit. The Full bodied feel is polished and poised with crisp, medium+ acidity and silky, medium+ tannins. The structure is certainly youthful and noticeable, but it doesn’t come close to overpowering as the fruit and feel is still expressive. I can certainly see this benefitting from about 5+ years as there is a lot going on already.

The nose is slightly coiled up, but with lovely roundness a d balance to the tones of Meyer lemons, red apples, quince, pears, vanilla bean, nutmeg, nougat, and elderflower. There is good depth while it does take a few goes to get all of the notes. The Medium/full bodied feel is textured and balanced with tart, medium+ acidity that has a little bit of sting. This is showing fairly nicely right now, but it has so much more to give with another 4+ years of aging.
