Flight 1 - Warm ups (4 Notes)

Flight 2 - Reds (6 Notes)

  • 2015 Bosquet des Papes Châteauneuf-du-Pape Cuvée Tradition

    France, Rhône, Southern Rhône, Châteauneuf-du-Pape

Double blind. Light red color. Dusty overtones with clay, cherry and red berry undertones. Medium-bodied. Nice red berry fruit with underlying spice elements. With time in the glass this turns a little bit more ripe with elements of fig and raisin. Guessed CndP. (V&M)

  • 2020 Domaine Chamfort Vacqueyras La Perdrière 87 Points

    France, Rhône, Southern Rhône, Vacqueyras

Double blind. Crimson red color. Notes of plum, fig paste and spice, with perhaps a touch of VA as well. Medium-bodied with plum, spice and dark fruit, bordering on raisin. While my initial thought was Rhone, as it showed more ripeness I began to think zinfandel. Definitely a forward, riper style of wine. (R&S)

  • 2019 Yount Ridge Proprietary Blend 90 Points

    USA, California, Napa Valley

Blind. Deep inky crimson color. Herb, black fruit, blueberry and chocolate notes. Full-bodied wiht medium, slightly chalky, tannins and flavors of kirsch, plum and blackberry. Lingering finish. Guessed Napa cab sauv blend.

This had been decanted for an hour. Still quite primary, I think this would benefit by holding to 2028+.

Decanted for an hour, and could also use some time. Hold to 2028+.
