Light pale gold, slightly murky. White flowers, little honey, green apple, little spice, citrus pith. The palate for me is unbalanced, there is an unmistakable bitterness from the mid to late palate which is interesting as I suspect there is some RS. Light body leaving towards medium, acidity peaks early on but fades quickly. I normally love chenin Blanc from Vouvray but this was a no from me.
Cork fell apart even with Ah-So Deep honey gold, glossy, lovely and rich. Bruised apple, little oxidized, little cheese. The ox overpowers the nose. The body is heavy for a semillon, rich and reduced. The ox is less noticeable in the mouth. It's silky and luscious. The acidity is still very much alive. Little bruised apple, little bit of spice, little sweet. It's not perfect but it's lovely.
Medium golden coloured, glossy. Lighter in colour than I would have expected. A little honey suckle white flower, little sweet, citrus or pineapple fruit. Light nose , pretty. Palate there is bruised apples, honey suckle, wonderful acidity, charming alcohol warmth. This one is a stunner and for me a contender for our white wine of the year, certainly the best chenin I have had this year.
Unfortunately, did not get a chance to write a full review. But the general consensus was this was a great everyday drinking wine which we paired with pizza. Tannins a little firm but fairly well balanced, red fruit raspberries, some tea notes. The bottle was gone before we knew it.
