Flight 2 (6 Notes)

  • NV Viera de Sousa Porto 30 Year Old Tawny 93 Points

    Portugal, Douro, Porto

Caramel and acetone mixed with orange and a very oxidized touch (brandy-style). It starts a bit watery in the aftertaste but really picks up with some additional air leaving a decent depth. Overall, quite nice. 93-94p.

  • NV Bulas Porto 30 Year Old Tawny 93 Points

    Portugal, Douro, Porto

Mint leaves, vanilla but is also packed with massive flavors of coconuts oil. It is quite sweet, dark brown sugar, and perhaps lacking a bit of balance. Has a touch of chemicals also.
In general, it is a wine that is really over the top which might appeal to some. It is an interesting wine but for me it is a bit too much.

A wild and huge wine that is packed with dark fruit flavors and a high acidity. Clear notes of cognac oxidation and dried fruits.
It perhaps lacks a bit of depth and length but it does have a nice intensity. 96-97p
