New Zealand, North Island, Hawke's Bay, Gimblett Gravels
This was great, and preferred to the Drouhin Chablis 1er Cru Vaillons 2022 which preceded it. Compared to that this has a taughtness, a lime-y-ness, within a roundness and generosity. Loved this and would seek out, much more so than the Chablis.
PnP. Enjoyed at first but strangely showed worse with the filet steak, leaving me wondering if it was very lightly corked or if this was the cedar coming to the fore. No conclusions drawn; would like to try again.

2018 Château Peymouton
France, Bordeaux, Libournais, Saint-Émilion Grand Cru
Appealing fruit and texture and depth on entry, a bit hot on the body, and a bit grippy on its own (better with food)
