Organic and biodynamic viticulture. A blend of 85% Pinot Noir and 15% Chardonnay, base vintage 2017 (54%), 40% fermented and aged in wood, malo complete, bottled July 2018, disgorged July 2023 without dosage. Firm and direct, lots of minerally energy but rounded off by the long lees and post-disgorgement ageing, expresses its Côte des Bar terroir very well.
A blend of Welschriesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Morillon and Muskateller. Almost fluorescent green tinged yellow colour; marvellous nose, initially reminiscent of a top Ganevat Chardonnay, clearly a long elevage (two years on the full lees), but then the Sauvignon in the blend shines through, with a lovely whiff of muscat in support; light and delicate but intense palate, seamless and flowing, soft but fresh acidity, very elegant and refined; very good resonance and length. Very beautiful and very youthful.
Extremely light red colour, almost a rosé, light on its feet, honey and spices, candied fruits (strawberry, peach, orange), soft but fresh, silky texture, precise and minerally, delicately juicy, percaline tannins, complete finish just showing age.
Completely natural wine, just fermented grape juice, nothing added, spontaneous whole bunch fermentation, aged for 12 months in stainless steel, bottled unfined and unfiltered. Mildly oxidative red with a hint of residual sugar. Quite an unusual style (for me a least) but it works. Supple and soft, juicy cherries and warm spices, attractive mild nuttiness, lovely resonance and length.
