Introduction
I mostly tasted the red wines first, followed by the whites, with a few exceptions, mostly based on when I could more easily access Raveneau and Salon. Champagne notes are here first, followed by the couple of Aligotés tasted near the end, then the rest in the order of the tasting booklet provided.

Walk around tasting. Lush and forward start just beckons you in, the energy and assortment of orchard fruit aromas and flavors keep you engaged, then the power pops out on the finish. A sensational vintage that will likely bring such great pleasure both you g and aged, just in different ways.

Walk around tasting. Red and black plum aromas and flavors with intensely savory spice. OK a bit backward, but the heft and density easily stands out and impresses. So much here, nuanced and complex already, perhaps assisted from coming from plots near both Aloxe and Ladoix. Long and powerful finish. The best wine I can personally ever recall from this producer. Cellar for anywhere from one to four decades.

Very good density and ripe black fruit and front-and-center, but the structure is in the very near background. Not quite all together right now, but all these great pieces are in place for a great wine, probably from 2035-2072. Great to taste both this as well as Chevillon’s this afternoon.

Walk around tasting. Black and red cherry with some plum and roasted game, this kept sowing layered textures and spice notes already. Great length. The final pour from a bottle, I think that helped because this is showing hints of how exceptional it will be. Patience required, but 94-95 point potential for me, also from 2035-.

Walk around tasting. Almost always one of my favorites and a favorite value, this 2022 doesn’t disappoint. Charming combo of black and red fruits, this is texturally so elegant with an intensity that works magically with its brightness and lithe form. But then this manages to conclude with a big, expanding finish. Very good 91-92+ point potential from 2028-.

Walk around tasting. Spiced aromas with so much red and black cherry and berry, this bursts right out of the gate with explosive fun, then suddenly remembers it is Bonnes Mares and cranks shut, despite its obviously lush and opulent fruit. So much here, but this might take a generation to fully strut its stuff, great 94-96 point potential.
