Lemon cream, some brioche, lovely nose; medium bodied, lovely mousse, drinking perfectly now, medium-plus acidity, low dosage, well balanced; medium length. This is lovely mature champagne. I like this much more than my last bottle tasted. 92-93
Lemon yellow color; exceptional nose with lemon cream, minerality, ripe peaches; palate is medium bodied, fresh medium acidity, dry, balanced medium alcohol, riper peach and lemon cream here too; medium length finish. This is very nice, and a nice contrast to the Huet style (wooly and quince). 93
13.9% alcohol. Aromatic, lemon and minerality; young, medium bodied, medium-plus acidity, balanced alcohol, white fruits; medium finish. Very nice, not sure it’s worth the price. 91
Light golden; honeyed, aromatic; dry, nutty, oxidative, medium-plus acidity; finish is medium length. Fully mature, ready to drink, would pair similar to a dry sherry with food (flexible pairings…). 89
Aromatic, honeyed, peach, quince; palate is barely off dry, medium-plus acidity, really wonderful complexity with some slight spices, still good fruit, nice maturity; long finish. This is stellar Huet, and a treat to drink. 94
Cabernet Sauvignon. Medium ruby, slightly cloudy; aromatic, red fruits, cherry, slight green; palate is medium bodied, prominent tannins, slightly drying, still with excellent balancing red fruits, low alcohol (11%!!), a bit thin through the midpalate; finish is medium-minus length. Really fascinating wine, but ultimately a bit thin through the midpalate, and tannins a bit rough for the balancing fruit. 89-90
Red-black fruit profile, aromatic; palate is youthful, blackberry, medium-plus acidity, lovely but very youthful with absolutely no maturity; medium length finish. 91
Not that aromatic, limited fruit; palate is also limited fruit and mostly about its tannins. Not great, but not clearly flawed. I’m leaving this uncorked but unclear that it is flawed.
Golden, good color for the age; medium intensity aromatics, honey, wool, a bit of quince; palate is medium-full bodied, lovely acidity throughout to balance the noticeable sweetness, balanced 12.5% alcohol; medium length. Very nice, balanced, still quite youthful. This could age another 2 decades. 91-92
