Clear purplish brick in the glass. Young wine without much rim variation. Nose is floral and fruity, with a little bit of gravel and earth notes. Palate has ripe plum and firm tannins. Some floral notes as well. Acidity is med- and has a dry body. Light finish. This is a good wine that could use a couple more years in the bottle.
USA, California, Sonoma County, Russian River Valley
Pours cleanly into the glass. Clear garnet with med- tearing.
Nose is really young. Bright juicy, tart cherry and a little bit of brown sugar. Slight amount of earthy compost but really subtle. Not huge minerality.
Taste is light and delicate. Cherries and licorice prominent, alongside a little bit of cinnamon that adds some very recessed spice. Moderate acidity and dryness. Residual sugar present.
Dark purple in the glass. Big tears, with some light staining. Nose has lots of dark plum and some dark chocolate. Forest floor as well as a slight mineral note. Wine tastes…salty? Big saline and dark fruit. Acidic and dry, but medium bodied. Tannins are med+
