  • 2022 Domaine Ghislaine Barthod Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Cras 93 Points

France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru

Blind, musky initially which blew away, candied, touch of earth and polish, light body, high acid with med tannins. The style had changed dramatically, for a vintage like 2022, this is rather light, lacks the density and fruits from the vintage. While this is rather enjoyable now, unsure how it will change it is age. Looking at the critics' review seem to indicate this bottle is not representative

  • NV Vilmart & Cie Champagne Premier Cru Grand Cellier Œnothèque T13 91 Points

    France, Champagne, Champagne Premier Cru

Blind, blend of 2010, 2011, 2012, 70% C, 30% PN, no Malo, disgorged March 2020, 990 bottles, bruised red apple, heavy on the palate, high acid, lacks a little precision and tendons, med finish. Fail to identify the majority grape with the acidity as the focus on was on the body.

  • 2017 Thibault Liger-Belair Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Saint Georges 93 Points

France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru

Blind, prominent aroma, red cherry, touch of earth, med acid, med finish. Surprise it is 2017 which mostly are drinking well guess the plot is the reason why it is still rather tight at this moment, structure is definitely there.

  • 2012 Bouchard Père et Fils Beaune 1er Cru Grèves Vigne de L'Enfant Jesus 92 Points

France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Beaune 1er Cru

Rather shy, rather high acid and unbalanced initially but slowly gaining weight. Drinking after 2.5 hrs, red fruits, earth, med body, med acid on the palate, rather structured tannins. Guesses were 2014 onwards due to the youthfulness.
