  • 2023 Black Estate Pinot Noir Wild Life TB943 Home Waipara

    New Zealand, South Island, Canterbury, Waipara

    Lovely light hibiscus color. 9.7%

    Fresh, crunchy style of red berries, strong salinity, almost sanguine like, but delicate on palate. Almost like a tomato juice.

    Vibrant acidity, clean finish and mouthfeel with decent length.

    Interesting on its on, a very fun wine, but more of a food wine, could go well with fatty or spicy foods.

  • 2022 Black Estate Chenin Blanc Home

    New Zealand, South Island, Canterbury, North Canterbury

    Unique taste; lemon rinds, asian pear, snowberries and bramble, bit of wet rock, pepper, honey wax and ash.

    Intense and complex, yet vibrant, linear finish and some weight gives it vibe like a serious wine.

    Again, well made, surprisingly moreish despite having uncommon palette of palates.

    Light yellow, a bit shy on nose

    Baby melon, white peach, honey citron, a bit of white flower.

    Saline, bright, has a bit of weight. Moreish, would definitely benefit from age.
