    Melon, a little stone fruit, simple nose though not as simple as Verdelho. More of the same on the palate. Juicy, fleshy, slight alcohol warmth on the finish.

    Slight alcohol prickle, slightly jammy, baked red fruits, touch of sweet spice, plum. Fire breath alcohol, baked red fruits, tacky tannins. A bit on the large side.

  • 2021 Grant Burge Shiraz Balthazar

    Earthy, savoury, dark plummy fruit has a little freshness, slight olive tapenade, spice. Red and black fruit on the palate, acid feels slightly clumsily adjusted, plenty of grippy tannins; cedar , finishes earthy and savoury. Interesting.

    Plummy, alcohol prickle, polished oak. Juicy tends to Medium plus intensity acidity , lashings of tannins; grippy, drying, the fruit is slightly faded.
    Playing the man I thought this might be a 2018 Meshach"
