Also some noticeable wood, but lighter with orange, spice, and better acidity. Not a distinguished Perrières but very good wine.

Light red. Light weight. Tart, stemmy cherry fruit with high acidity, moderate earth, and grainy tannins. Just not pleasing. Tough vintage for d’Angerville’s austere style.

Bright grapefruit, subtle use of oak. Excellent acidity and minerality. More than I’ve come to expect of Angerville whites.

Rich, creamy, not overtly fruity. Excellent structure for the year and somewhat surprisingly, the best Meursault we had at this small tasting.

2023 Domaine Henri Rebourseau Mazy-Chambertin
France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Mazis-Chambertin Grand Cru
Ruby. Cool aromas. Light bodied but sappy. Light wood, brambly, lots of chocolate, red and blue fruit, and excellent acidity. Outstanding finish. I was taken aback by how good these first two Rebourseau wines were. Outstanding potential.

2023 Domaine Henri Rebourseau Chambertin

Light color. More stemmy on the nose with less fruit. Excellent etched red and black fruit with light sappiness, but leaner, more backward and structured than the Mazy with a potently tannic finish. Still, well made, excellent wine.

Pale. Faint nutty oak. Elegant and silky. Grapefruit, spice, and excellent length. I really liked this racy expression of Meursault.
