  • NV Jacques Selosse V.O. Blanc de Blancs Extra Brut 93 Points

    France, Champagne, Champagne Grand Cru

Always exciting to get the chance of drinking a bottle of Selosse.
Great wine! True to the style, oxidative with beautiful balance and freshness.
Aromas of apple, roasted nuts, brown butter, almost like Apfelstrudel.

    (93-94)

  • 2012 Domaine Nowack Champagne La Tuilerie LV/RD 90 Points

    France, Champagne

    Bottle #313.
Flavours of flowers, ginger+nutmeg=gingerbread and slightest bit of oxidative notes.
Quite balanced and complex, but missing a bit of intensity and depth.
    Price/Quality questionable.

  • 2015 Reichsrat Von Buhl Riesling Suez Vintage 90 Points

    Germany, Pfalz

Better than I remembered it from last time.
    Almost completely tertiary now.
If you like these very mature and a bit of oxidative flavours then it's a great bottle of sparkling, but I would drink remaining bottles now and don't wait.
As observed by uncorked below it still shows enough freshness, unsurprising given its 100% Riesling.

  • 2008 Duval-Leroy Petit Meslier Champagne Précieuses Parcelles 87 Points

    France, Champagne

Very interesting/obscure grape for a Vintage Champagne.
I think it has aged beautifully.
Overall, the flavours and harmony is a bit off for me.
