45% M, 30% PN, 25% C, disgorged May 2023, oxidative notes dominated initially but slowly blow away to show bruised red apple, orange peel, good weight, long finish, excellent freshness for an almost 20 year old, with a elegant finish
France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru
Airy red fruit aroma, elegant, mid intensity, with green and coarse tannins. After an hour or so, nose become quite complete, well balanced still quite airy, touch of spritz, candied with mineral lift. Palate still rather lean, with silky tannins, persistent finish with med acid.
Plastic notes showing both on the nose and palate, probably not the best showing. Fruits still showing on the palate with med to high acid, long finish and sandy tannins
Similar plasticy notes as 2011 initially but blew away revealing pure candied fruits, spice backed with purity on the layered palate, fine sandy tannins.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru
Airy nose with earth, some blood, elegant, consistent flavours on the palate with medium silky tannins and med acid. One of my favourite plots from Fourrier
France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru
Airy aroma, blueberry, mineral lift at the back, good weight on the palate with structured silky tannins. Nose so alluring but the palate is still rather tight probably needs more time.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru
Not very expressive on the nose, darker fruit compared to the 2012 with similar mineral lift on the back of the nose, more dense and giving on the palate with good freshness, med acid with very silky tannins. Love the palate for 2016 but prefer the nose of 2012
