04ha 12 months ageing in oak 8 months in tank, warmer site than Macherelles The style is more exotic than Macherelles, more tropical fruit, again fresh, youthful but also more robust and broader. The oak takes some time to come up, some roasted almond notes, lime, green lemon notes, leafy notes too, rich The palate follows the nose, rich, powerful, the oak is there framing all the fruit, again the fruit is tropical, pineapple notes, some nectarine, peach notes, nice acidity keeping the balance and freshness, some roasted notes, persistent finish. Give it time and it opens up nicely. With time it gets earthier, spicier

0.66ha, 12 months ageing in caks, 60yo vines, this is one of the finest 1er crus in Chassagne The wine feels restrained after Les Champgains, more mineral, offering serious body and depth, structure, think oak profile, almond, roasted notes, impressive but with a nice fruit ripeness creeping in the back with the oak doing a good job covering it up. There is a pineapple profile offering an exotic touch too Palate shows a far more balanced approach between oak and fruit. The nutty side of the wine is still there, a few roasted notes, ripe stone fruit, tangerine next to peach. The wine shows minerality, the acidity is there raising the wine to a more vertical stance, making it easier than feared, long persistent finish After some time, the wine shows an earhty, slighly musky, decadent sweetness

On top on Macherelles vineyard, needs time to shows its profile as vineyard. 0.55ha, 12 months in oak The wine shows deeper colour In the nose, the wine shows ripe fruit, stone fruit, apricot, peach, tin apricot too, there is an almost iodine/sea breeze freshness here which is unexpected. Ripe notes, butter notes, brioches, savoury and decadent, there is a faint roasted nut almond/walnut aspect. As it warms up, there is an extra mix of pineapple/coconut In the palate, the wine follows the nose pattern, rich and creamy, powerful, ripe tropical fruit, pineapple again, creamy nites, grrapefruit, citrus notes, high acidity, full body, round and concentrated. A powerful expression with long persistent finish Needs some time to open up, still quite youthful, with time it opens up nicely with a green tea element

2.3ha plot, 12 months in oak The wine feels a bit closed adn reserved, cranberry and sour cherry notes, some heavier floral notes, carnation, it feels a bit linear though, some cassis notes, a few sweet spices, clove, whole spice, some blue berry notes too In the palate, the wine shows med body, fragrant, the tannins are a bit tough and tight for now, a few bitter notes, floral notes, med to high acidity. The wine is not showing much at this point, very fresh and youthful, needs time, tart, vibrant but tight, med finish Lean as all red Chassagne Montrachet

The wine shows a bit "nerdy" profile, some yogurt notes (!), long finish The wine feels to be in a great spot to drink now
