Nice nose with more subtle notes of cassis, leather, earth, and cocoa nibs. Good acidity and tannic structure on the palate with similar flavors, more red leaning fruit, cherries, and underwood on the palate. Nice finish that lingers for quite some time. Really enjoyable and drinking very well right now, but the Lalande has significantly more upside.

Great, fragrant nose with some green notes, cassis, dark cherries, earth, and bell pepper. Good acidity on the palate with firm tannins, flavors of dark fruit, underwood, and more cassis. Long, grippy finish. Beautiful wine that although it's approachable now, really needs another 10 years and will drink well for decades. 95+

Very muted on the nose and maybe a bit stewy fruit notes. I feel this was not a representative bottle and suspect it may have been slightly heat damaged...

Lovely nose with good intensity, black pepper, dark cherries, and a bit of leather. Great balance on the palate with nice acidity and quite integrated tannins and similar flavors. Long finish. This was a great showing! Complex and perfectly open right now.

Great nose with sweet fruit, old leather, a hint of mushrooms, pencil shavings, dark fruit, and a bit of violets. Really nice on the palate as well with underwood notes, dark fruit, and a hint of plums. Long finish. Perfectly mature, this is probably drinking at peak right now.

Very pretty and fragrant nose with red fruit, roses, and cherries. Good acidity and great balance with present but relatively soft tannins, lovely depth, and more red cherries and darker leaning fruit flavors on the palate. Long finish. Gorgeous wine! Deep and complex and really elegant.

Great nose with leather, cassis, a hint of flowers, and red cherries. Pretty high acidity and tannins on the palate with more red fruit and cherries, smokey flavors, and a hint of tobacco. Long finish. This is still quite young and probably very representative of the vintage. Should age for decades. 95+

Good nose with red fruit, cherries, underwood, a hint of juniper. Medium acidity with a bit of a caramel / burnt sugar flavor, plums, dark cherries, and earth. Medium finish. A good wine, but perhaps not a perfect bottle judging by the caramel note. Still, I think this was quite enjoyable and probably would have shown much better on its own.

Wow! What a great nose! Very complex and with such depth with notes of pencil shavings, pepper, cherries, violets, and leather. The palate is equally enticing with flavors of leather, tobacco, plums, cassis, blood orange, and red cherries. Very long finish. This was just spectacular, what a great experience! Clearly a perfect bottle that definitely lived up to the extremely high expectations.

Ripe nose with red and dark fruit and a peppery note. Quite a bit of tannins on the palate with ripe dark fruit and plums. Medium finish. This feels oddly very immediate but at the same time could use more time. It's still a dcecent wine, just not my type of vintage.

Fragrant nose with a bit of eucalyptus and ripe dark fruit. Medium acidity on the palate with quite a bit of tannins and similar flavors. Medium finish. I didn't care for the eucalyptus note and it feels very backwards. I would avoid this vintage.

Very backwards and closed nose with cassis, smoke, a hint of eucalyptus, and spices. Medium acidity on the palate with a wall of tannins, dark fruit, but super tight. Medium finish. Very hard to read and not really enjoyable at the moment, this probably needs a good decade or two. 91++

Lots of dark fruit on the nose with plums, cherries, and generally very ripe and slightly savory notes. Lots of tannins on the palate with more dark fruit, some earth, leather, and plums. Good finish. Similarly to the Baron, this is really hard to read at the moment. Don't touch this for another 10+ years. 92++

Nice nose with lots of dark fruit, pepper, violets, and a hint of savory. Massive tannins on the palate with good acidity, flavors of cassis, dark cherries, and a bit of smoke. Nice finish. Much more approachable than the 2010, but still very very young. Hard to compare, but I feel like this is stylistically a bit different from the 03 and 10 and should be much more promising and enjoyable in the future. 93++

Nice nose with dark cherries, pepper, spices, and floral notes. Good acidity and lots of tannins on the palate with very fruit driven flavors, dark cherries, and a hint of earth. Nice finish. This will need a very long time, but seems very promising. Frankly, I have a hard time reading these young Bordeaux and I wouldn't dare to touch this for another 15-20 years. 94-96+

160eme (2004 base). Lovely nose with some almonds, citrus, nuts, and brioche. High acidity with more citrus notes on the palate, along with nice minerality, bready notes, and more nutty flavors. Long finish. Really lovely wine, probably drinking at peak right now!
