  • 2006 Nicolas Feuillatte Champagne Brut Cuvée Palmes d'Or 90 Points

    France, Champagne

    Glass: Gabriel Universal Standard
Tasted fully blind. Clear, medium golden color. Okayish sweet and mineral nose. On the palate really a crowd pleaser: Fine mousseux, balanced, round rather sweet. Uncomplicated with a medium length. For me it lacks excitement, but I have to admit I was surprised about the age. Solid Champagne at its full peak. 90

  • 2016 Weingut Keller Kirchspiel Riesling Großes Gewächs 93 Points

    Germany, Rheinhessen

    Glass: Gabriel Universal Standard
Tasted fully blind. Popped and poured without decanting. During the first hour: Yes, it has all it takes, but is still locked in and too young. After about 1+ hour it started to unfold. The nose fanned out and revealed some beautiful clear, ripe fruit and on the palate you can feel the lime stone soil energy and tension. Beautiful wine with great potential. Needs a lot of air and patience. 93+

  • 2019 Weingut Keller Chardonnay "Reserve", trocken 89 Points

    Germany, Rheinhessen

    Glass: Gabriel Universal Standard
Tasted fully blind. Clear, youthful pale golden color. Fine, still youthful nose with some fine reduction. On the palate with a lighter body, fine mineral core, medium acidity is a bit unbalanced. We should have given this wine more time. Right after opening it was not that attractive to me and not as good as my previous bottle. 89-90

  • 2012 Georg Breuer Rüdesheimer Berg Schloßberg Riesling 94 Points

    Germany, Rheingau

    Glass: Gabriel Universal Standard
Opened about 3h before tasting. Perfect bottle. Clear, medium golden color. Beautiful fine and complex nose with lots of clean stone fruit, crushed stones, floral notes and smoke.
Wonderful structure, tension and energy. Wonderful mineral core, great grip and very long. Drunk right after the two Keller wines it felt rather sweet, which I haven't noticed in my previous bottles. This bottle was very young, probably too young, hence my potential rating. 94++

Flight 7 (1 Note)

  • 2009 Romano Dal Forno Valpolicella Superiore Vigneto di Monte Lodoletta 94 Points

    Italy, Veneto, Valpolicella, Valpolicella Superiore

    Glass: Gabriel Universal Standard
Tasted fully blind. Clear, deep ruby color. Wonderful complex nose with clear sour chery, spices, hints of cassis and tar. Great perfume! I could swear this was high-end Brunello :)
On the palate with lots of extract sweetness, high, ripe acidity, lots of cherry (yes, the amarena cherry should have pointed me into the right direction), spicy, fruity, deep, dense and very long. Wonderful wine that even made fun at a hot summer evening. Just the right balance of everything. In a perfect spot right now. 94
