  • 2020 Cantine Pirovano Pinot Grigio Delle Venezie

    The wine shows rather deep cloudy colour
    In the nose the wine shows overripe stone fruit, peach, earthy notes, nectarine peel notes
    Palate follows the nose, sweet but also oxidized notes med to high acidity, med finish, some floral notes
    The wine is gone but it was probably alright at some point, 12.0% alc

  • 2021 Cantine Pirovano Delle Venezie Pinot Grigio/Garganega

    The wine shows bright yellow colour
    The wine shows a strong lemon/herbal combo, with some bitterness and dusty notes
    Palate shows high acidity, some tannins even, texture, med to full body, med finish and bit confused at this point, but it was obviously made to last. 12.0% alc

  • 2022 Orealios Gaea San Gerasimo Robola of Cephalonia

    Greece, Ionian, Kefalonia, Robola of Cephalonia

    The wine shows high intensity, flinty, lemon, citrus, quince, tight still not giving away much at this point
    Palate is a bit broader but again flint, citrus, quince, med alcohol (12.50% alc), high acidity, very mineral, salty, angry texture, long finish
    This could really pass for a Santorini or an Assyrtiko at least

    In the nose, the wine shows some bitter herbal notes, some raspberry notes
    Palate overly sweet, so it’s a demi sec wine which is not stated as such. Overripe strawberry, red cherry marmalade, med body, high acidity, med finish

    In the nose, the wine shows red cherry notes, sweet spice, easy, smooth, plum notes
    Palate is very easy, plain, no tannins, light body, straightforward, med acidity, short finish
