The wine were poured one at a time. The Bordeaux were poured blind.

Round and friendly with some brioche and good acidity and length. Still youthful and fresh.

The wine is still ok, but too old for many. A tired and a bit nutty Ferrari ;-). Still ok acidity though. No score.

NV Jacquesson & Fils Champagne Brut Perfection 95 Points

Drank from a double magnum probably from the late sixties or mid 70’s. Still remarkably fresh and also complex. A really nice experience.

Drank from magnum. This wine is really great and complex with a great balance between acidity and a slight touch of sweetness and loaded with complex minerals. A feast! 96 – 97.

Opinions differed about this wine. Some thought there was nothing wrong with it, others said the wine was corked. In my opinion the wine was not completely fresh, but still sowed good acidity, Anyway no score.

Drank from magnum. Full bodied, mature and a lot of pleasant sweetness but also lovely acidity. The wine is complex with a lot of freshness and still plenty of future.

Drank from magnum. A lovely and mature Latour with a lot of black fruits still, cedar, luxurious oak, graphite etc. Good acidity. A textbook Pauillac.

The same luxurious impressions as the 1983 we tasted before this 2001. This wine has still more freshness and good acidity, complexity and length. Great wine with a future of several years, although I should add this wine was from magnum.

Another great magnum. Very lush and complex and complete concentrated wine with great garrigue, fresh acidity, round tannin, full bodied and a future of at least another 5 – 7+ years.
