One of many tables but this one stood out for a few reasons. One of the tasting for 2021 Standish "Standish" and the fact we are getting some great Aussie wines into the MN market.

Nice wine overall. Light rustic color with dust, raspberries, dried flowers, earth and pepper. Medium finish and solid value.

2020 Pollux Wines Humble Roots Shiraz Viognier 91 Points

Ok one of the best values at the tasting. Spice, floral, bramble, dark currants and a touch of funk. Medium finish. Excellent value and six pack for sure.

2021 Langmeil Cabernet Sauvignon Offspring 92 Points

Very nice. Eucalyptus, earth, cherry, minerals, dust and floral notes. Very concentrated wine but balanced. Love it.

2019 Bremerton Matilda Plains Cabernet Shiraz 90 Points

Nice blend with 70% Cabernet/30% Shiraz. Pepper, earth, cherry, blue currants, floral and mild spice. Very flavorful wine with a medium finish.

Ok top 10 wine of the year candidate. At an industry event there was half a bottle left at the end of the event. Hard to believe but here is the review. Black pepper, plum, dust, minerals, smoked meats, charcoal, spice and black currants. Super concentrated wine and long finish. Brings back memories. Absolute stunner. 96.5 points

2021 The Standish Wine Company The Relic 95 Points

Sampled twice at this event. While I liked the Standish better I saw one point of improvement over time. This would be a great 3 day review. Very elegant overall with floral, dust, minerals, raspberries, Garigue, blueberries and spice. Nice finish and acidity. Need to revisit this soon.
