Another consistent 95 here and even we struggle to find words to add for this beautiful wine after 15 or so notes in the last 10 years. Still strong in its soft and effortless style and it’s just joyful for lovers of well aged wines with a lot of old school charm. 95 easy
Decanted and served and once again a masterclass of a wine and among the best value for money a lover of classic claret will come across. Definitely an arbitrage. Beautiful, well aged, full secondary but alive and healthy fruit with leather and tobacco notes and a wine we have had more than a dozen times in the last 10 years and does not seize to amaze us. 94
It has been 12 years since we had this last ( Papies NR as the wine was tight and closed at its youth) and what a transformation time and patience has given us. It is now at peak and will be here another decade the beautiful Pauillac austerity coming through a well secondary, earthy and leather noted wine with effortless balance and beauty. For lovers of old school well aged claret like us this is a dream and what a reward for patient cellaring this has been. 94-95 and has more to give
