France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Côte de Nuits Villages
Opened with a nose of crushed chalk, lemon spritz, sort of a mild detergent character as well. Minerally and lean initially on the palate, but gained heft with time and air, adding notes of cashew, oak spice, and white florals. Really complex and lovely, my WOTN.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Morey-Saint-Denis 1er Cru
Very dense red fruit initially on the nose, framed by hints of smoke and olives. Ripe strawberry character. Palate is more tannic and spiced, fruit character is somewhat receded.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Morey-Saint-Denis
Stemmy character on the nose, with red fruit hiding behind it. Air also brought out mint and cocoa notes. Much more approachable on the palate, leading with ripe strawberry and raspberry with a hint of confectionary character.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Gevrey-Chambertin
High acid, very pretty, very integrated. Incredibly composed and balanced with nothing sticking out; finessed to the nth degree but to me lacking a bit of character or interest because of it.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru
Led with confectionary red fruits, also found a slight creamy lactic note. Midpalate was lacking concentration. I really dig the bright-and-sweet strawberry character from the '19s.
Fleshy white and yellow tropical fruit character on this that I adore in Kabs. Also found papaya, pear. Palate was more underripe, a bit prickly like sucking mango off the skins.
NV Étienne Calsac Champagne Premier Cru Blanc de Blancs Les Rocheforts
France, Champagne, Champagne Premier Cru
Brioche, lemon, saline, a hint of sweet onion or mignonette, light nuttiness. Bright and easy.

2020 Les Héritiers du Comte Lafon Mâcon-Chardonnay Clos de la Crochette
France, Burgundy, Mâconnais, Mâcon-Chardonnay
Lovely yellow florals and butter notes that leaned more towards popcorn with air. Richer and simpler of the white burgs.
