USA red 2001 and 2002 plus excellent whites by Jeroen

Introduction
We all had to bring a red 2001 or 2002 wine from the USA plus an exclusive white wine. We knew most of the wines beforehand, but all wines were poured blind and scored before revealing what we had in the glass. All wines were poured one at a time.

What a great tasting this was. All wines did it and were in perfect condition. While tasting all wines blind, a funny remark of one of the participants was: “This is one of those rare occasions that you think you have 8 times a Quilceda Creek in your glass” ;-)
The dinner which accompanied the wines was truly great and impressive. Thank you Niels!

Sweet licorice, dark berries, vanilla, complexity in the bouquet. On the palate a classical style with a firm amount of acidity, red and dark berries and graphite. Great length and at its peak now.
