    Greece, Ionian, Kefalonia

    1400 bottles, 13.50% alc, PGI Aenos slopes
    The wine shows an almost Sauvignon blanc – like character, green fruit, floral notes, some flinty notes, quince and grapefruit notes.
    Palate shows bright, vibrant profile, high acidity, phenolic notes, it shows bitterness, very upfront, long finish
    Very youthful, a bit difficult to drink on its own

  • NV Regantio Viejo Junus

    Spain, Andalucía, Vino de la Tierra de Cádiz

    Brought by a colleague from Spain. It comes from the Macharnudo Bajo estate. Fermented in American oak casks soaked in Amontillado and Oloroso wines, followed by aging for 12 months on its fine lees with bâtonnage, then aged for another 12 months in bottle. 90% Palomino 10% Moscatel on albariza soils.

    The wine is bright, very expressive, med to high intensity, clean, pure profile, shows depth, layered, nutty, almost floral notes
    Palate with a nice kick, high acidity, almond notes, it shows weight but its not heavy, lemon notes, very typical expression but maybe a bit too much VA to drink on its own but overall nice

    The wine shows deep yellow colour
    The wine shows ripe to overripe stone fruit, nutty notes, some VA way in the back, citrus, grapefruit notes, very compact and interestingly different
    Palate shows equally interesting profile, ripe and rich, nutty, high acidity, almond, walnut, compact, some dried fruit notes too, crunchy texture, med to long finish

  • 2022 Domaine Mega Spileo Iconic Wines Assyrtiko Rodits semi sweet

    Greece, Peloponnisos, Achaia

    The wine shows low to med intensity, citrus, floral notes, lemon, green/yellow apple, a bit confused but rather pleasant, light, earthy with some orange marmalade notes.
    Palate shows some bitterness, citrus, pear, green apple notes, dired notes, some candy notes, sugar coated fruit notes too. Acidity is rather low, making this wine rather cloying (but not overly so), minty, short to med finish. 15.0% alc

    The wine shows bright red colour
    In the nose, the wine shows high intensity, fragrant, purity, red cherry notes, cranberry notes, floral notes, Indian spice mix especially paprika and cumin, some smoked notes, some stalky notes.
    In the palate, the wine is very bitter and aggressive, red berry notes, forward, light to med body, med acidity, short to med finish.
    The wine is shockingly bitter! It feels like eating 100% chocolate. The wine shows an entirely different nose to palate
