My thanks to Robert and Rocky for allowing me to attend. Alas I only had the time to taste 1/4 of the wines I wanted to taste. The notes are in the sequence printed in the notebook provided. In fact I tasted through all the red wines, then the whites.

Walkaround tasting with producers. Plenty of yellow and green apple with floral hints. Greater volume and precision vs the Reserve with the same level of fun already now.

Walkaround tasting with producers. Apple and lemon with floral touches, this seemed like a textural Tasmanian devil demanding complete attention with its energy today. Long finish. Not quite as "yummy" as the 2016 tasted next.

Walkaround tasting with producers. Magnum. Less raw energy vs 2017 just tasted but the richness is the star here with so much apple and baked apple with floral and spice support. A beauty in a very different way than the '17.

Walkaround tasting with producers. Slightly reductive start, but that was easy to move past. Very good weight with plenty of apple and toasted almonds, a plump middle, and sneaky good length showing off a finessed finish already.

Walkaround tasting with producers. Very difficult in this walkaround setting to assess a wine this powerful and backward. There is clearly so much ere to decipher, and its Bonnes Mares code isn't easy. This seems like a great vintage here with so much concentration and richness, just firmly tannic and brooding. Somewhere from 94-97 points with so much more to figure out as it slowly becomes enjoyable over the next decade+. Don't even think about opening a bottle until 2033, and 2038 would be smarter.
