    Glass: Zalto Universal
    Perfect bottle. Clear, pale youthful golden color. Max 10+ years old
    Beautiful, medium+ intense, fully developed nose. At first some smoke, with more time and air pure, sweet fruit emerged. Lots of wet stone. Complex, fresh and precise.
    On the palate dry, 12,5% abv, high, ripe and racy acidity. Very lean, dense and precise. Wonderful mineral core, some lime peel and yellow stone fruit. Only very slight hints of petrol. Very long, fruity, mineral and lively finish. Wonderful bottle at its full peak. 94

    Tasted fully blind.
    Clear, pale golden color. Clean, youthful and shy nose, fine and elegant.
    Bone dry, 13,5% abv. It is all about texture and structure, not so much about fruit, even though it is there. White pepper, medium acidity. Cool climate, nice density, medium length. Upside potential for another decade. 88+

    Tasted fully blind. Clear, medium deep, glowing golden color. Beautiful deep, complex, developing Riesling nose. Lots of ripe, sweet fruit, tangerine, lime peer, smoke and lots of crushed stones.
    On the palate dry with 2009 typical sweet fruit. Medium+ ripe acidity. Wonderful depth and density, creamy, lovely texture, tension and energy. Long, complex, fruity and mineral finish. 2009 HH is always a treat! 94-95

  • 2015 Weingut Schnaitmann Fellbacher Lämmler Spätburgunder Großes Gewächs 90 Points

    Tasted fully blind. Clear, deep ruby-garnet color. Clean, medium intense, developing nose. Spicy, herbaceous, fragrant with hints of smoke and licorice.
    Dry (only 2,5gr), but when drunk after the two Burgundies awfully sweet. The acidity is slightly candy-like and unbalanced.. On the palate salty, a bit green and harsh, herbaceous. Quite dense and with a creamy texture. Surprisingly advanced. This bottle was at its full peak. Medium+ finish with a bit weird and unbalanced flavors. Very good, when drunk solo, but not comparable to Burgundy wines. 90

    Clear, medium garnet color. Clean, medium+ intense, fully developed nose. Needed air, bottle was not decanted. Blood, iron, fine tobacco, red fruit, ethereal notes. Fine, fragrant and gains complexity with air.
    Bone dry, high, ripe acidity. Fine, medium intense tannin. Elegant red fruit, salty mineral notes. Elegant, balanced and fine. Nice depth, tension and energy. Long, fine and fruity finish. 93-94

    Tasted fully blind. Clear, medium garnet color with tawny rim. Clean, medium intense, fully developed nose. Some blood and iron, fine herbs, tobacco and spices.
    Dry, medium+, ripe acidity. Drinkable, but slightly off with notes of cellar mold. Good texture and structure though. Not rated. 87-88

    Bone dry, high, ripe acidity. Medium+ ripe, fine tannin. Lots of fine red fruit, some bitter notes, herbaceous and some green notes. Juicy with a nice texture and medium+ length. 89-90

    Tasted fully blind. Clear, deep ruby color. Clean, medium+ intense, developing nose. Lots of ripe, red and spicy fruit. Lots of cinnamon, some lactic notes and slate.
    Dry, medium acidity, 14,5% well integrated abv. Medium, round and silky tannin. Lots of extract and concentration. Some lactic notes and very spicy. Deep, creamy, round and soft. Long, fruity and spicy finish. Not something I like every day, but sometimes this is really beautiful. Potential for decades. 91-92

    Tasted fully blind from half bottle. Clear, deep golden color. Clean, medium intense and developing nose. Not as expressive and fruity as I would have expected it. Lots of lactic nose.
    On the palate sweet, high, ripe acidity, only 7,5% abv. Ripe, sweet stone fruit. Not overly complex and not very exciting. Medium length. Nice, but nothing more. 89-90

    From half bottle. AP#3 00. Clear, medium golden color. Clean, pronounced and developing nose. Beautiful clean, ripe and sweet fruit, some floral notes and slate. No signs of petrol. Very, very nice.
    On the palate super elegant, fine, balanced and harmonious, but also very deep and with a wonderful energy. Lots of fine, ripe stone fruit. Very long, fine, elegant and fresh finish. Potential for at least another decade. 95
