  Dark ruby-garnet color, with light bricking at the rim. The nose is quite herbal, with dried herb, sage, dark berries and sour red cherries, with floral notes. Full body, integrated tannins and long finish. In a great place, but has years to go.

  Lemon-gold color. The nose is quite aromatic and opens immediately with a mix of banana peel and orange rind, followed by layers of tropical fruit woven together with a subtle floral lift. Balanced on the palate, driven by crisp acidity that gives structure and definition to the richer fruit notes. The texture is at once vibrant and supple, carrying flavors with the fruit balanced with a mineral touch. The finish is long, clean, and persistent.

  Almost the same color than the 2001, yet eleven years older. The nose is quite floral, with rose petals, sweet red fruit, hints of earth and tar. Palate is soft and integrated, full body and long finish. An hedonistic wine.

  Revisiting this one a couple of years later. Deep red color, yet translucent. Forward nose of red fruit, red flowers, earth and smoke (in a positive way). Still tannic, and rustic, with great structure and presence. Long finish.

  Ruby color. Nose of red fruit, herbs and tar, and, as other reviewers mentioned, a hint of menthol. Towering on the palate, with great presence and structure. Silky and powerful on the palate, yet with a bit of a tannic bite, so I think decanting is recommended. Long finish.

  Deep ruby color. Sultry nose where the fruit takes center stage, showing mostly red fruit and a hint of rose petals. Dense and sultry on the palate, with barely any hard edges. Long finish. The most hedonistic wine of the line up.

  Dark red. Again here the nose is letting the fruit dominate. Red fruit, rose petals, with a hint of earth and tar in the background. Dense and silky on the palate, but the tannins keep the balance in check. Long finish.

  This was the most closed wine of the evening, even with a good decant. Dark red color. A bit muted on the nose, and needs time in the glass to start showing the red fruit and other Nebbiolo aromas. Full body, with a good tannic bite. Great structure, Long finish. Will revisit this one in a few years.
