At Antica Terra lunch. Crisp apple and pear with toasted/ buttered baguette with spiced notes, maybe a touch more wood for now, but in a different way than normal that I couldn't explain and never got to ask. Good richness and overall balance with a faintly tart finish, but less tart than your typical Extra Brut. Good now with further upside from here.
Lunch selection. Floral and rich with fat textures and very good weight, near unctuous for its flavor profile. I found this to be more interesting than yummy.
With lunch. Big scaled with impressive volume and plenty of stone + orchard fruit, yet this easily retains its balance. Maybe a bit oaky right now, so better to cellar.
At lunch. Perfumed start with broad array of exciting and energetic red fruits with a touch of black berry in the background. Lots of bright energy in support. Very good now with further upside.

At lunch. Red and blue berries throughout, also well spiced with an emerging earth tone that doesn't imply any early onset of maturity. Bigger volume than Botanica, but slightly less finessed.
At lunch. Very Piedmont in all respects - much too young, slightly awkward particularly for structure, not quite perfectly clean, yet it draws your attention. Much too young.
At lunch. My first time tasting Lillian Grenache, and it was great. Dense black fruits, well spiced with a great sense of balance. Finish goes on for longer than i expected. Impressive and charming.

At lunch. I am rarely excited by American Roussanne, but this came close. Rich stone fruit with a squeeze of lemon, while sufficiently bright against its near-heavy textures. Good now.
At the winery for lunch. Complex and fascinating combination of flavors and aromas that didn't seem right to start because I was confused by how Willamette Chardonnay and Cali Roussanne were playing together. The wine seemed confusing until I realized that I was confused but the wine was exciting. Coming across as demi-sec, there were sweet and tart apple elements throughout with a decadent floral overtone, plus some stone fruit and candy hints. Very good now.
