Some brick red colour, earthy fruit and red berries, fine tannins, a little muted overall
Several shades darker than the 88, black fruit, lots of powdery tannins. So much younger than 88 and not really ready.
Deep brick red, massive nose & palate of mint & pepper. Rich & mouth-filling, impressive.
Dark red. Lots of earth, hint of mint, maturing black fruits. Seems quite evolved. Perhaps a little short on the palate.
Lots of sediment. Youthful black spicy fruit with some mint. Ripe palate, medium weight but a little short on the finish.
Faded and leathery. Very soft. A bit too mature.
Mature, soft; good colour but plain aged fruit on the palate
Red with orange rim. Pungent aged nose with hint of oxidation. Fading spicy fruit, some tannin remaining but lacks much interest
Bright red, plenty of sediment. Youthful, rich, spicy nose of great intensity. Medium/full weight, high powdery tannins. Great, great wine with years left. Peak Henschke!
