With time you get thyme and a more dried Mediterranean herb note.
Quite fullishly called this village Bourgogne, should have paid more attention to the Brouilly/Cote de Brouilly immense acidity

  • 2020 Trénel Fils Morgon Côte du Py

    France, Burgundy, Beaujolais, Morgon

The wine shows med intensity, ripe kirsch and blue berry notes, feels like a more concentrated version of the previous wine (2022 Cote de Brouilly). The wine shows ripeness, red notes, floral notes, some varnish notes, the oak is a bit more upfront, a bit more polished (or at least tries to be), quite tight though.
In the palate, the wine follows the pattern of the nose but if feels more open. The tannins are more but also polished and plush, velvety. The acidity is high. The oak is again more upfront, cuts a bit short though
