  • 2021 Domaine Thomas Morey Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Chenevottes 95 Points

France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru

Tasted blind. Reduction. Racier and more linear than the 2022 of this wine. Full of lemon, tangello segments. Typical Chassagne for me with lighter citrus fruits like mandarin, tangelo and lemon. Lots of minerality, long puckery, lovely. Left the 2022 for dead. 95

  • 2022 Domaine Thomas Morey Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Chenevottes 91 Points

France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru

Tasted blind. Reduction. Spearmint nose. Full palate. Lots of reduction and a slight bitterness on the tongue (may be the reduction). Apparently this was picked early and chaptalised. Bitterness eventually disappeared and turned more to grapefruit and richness. 91

  • 2020 Henri Germain et Fils Meursault 1er Cru Charmes 95 Points

France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Meursault 1er Cru

Tasted blind. Bright citrus nose. Acid is great, lots of acid. Lovely lifted white fruits and flowers. Lovely wine. Exquisite. 95 - 96.

Plus 1 day. Quite yellow compared to the 21. Very long, intense and layered. Lovely mix of bright lemon, white nectarine and high toned lychee flavours. Long and chewy texture. 95-96
