Flatter, lower key base nose. Intense. High acid.

Lovely spicy nose. Intense. Aldehyde came out with more time in the glass. Clearly the cork hadn't quite done its job.

The first bottle was TCA affected. Richest and biggest nose of the 2016 Bruno Giacosa Nebbiolo D'Alba and 2016 Bartolo Mascarello Langhe Nebbiolo next to it. Lovely, power but silky. 93

The first bottle opened had mild TCA. The 2nd bottle had spicy red cherries, good structure. 94
Plus 2 days. Spicy tart red fruits. Not completely dissimilar to Rabaja with dusty red fruit. Lingers for a very long time time. Very very good and such personality. A fuller version of the Monprivato. The longest of tonight’s wines. 94+

Outstanding nose. The palate is silky, red fruits galore, fine boned, citric twist, roses. 96.

Lovely spicy nose. Next to the 2013 Bartolo Mascarello Barolo and 2008 and 2013 Guiseppe Mascarello Monprivatos, this like more rugged and structured. Robust wine. Darker fruited. Spicy. 94

2 x bottles were premoxed and brown. The failure rate on Produttoris is astronomical.

Lovely, pretty, lifted. Red fruits. Balanced acid and structure. Giuseppe Cortese flies under the radar. 95

Rich but light. Spicy dark red fruit. Love it. Lifted! 95
Plus 2 days. Pretty, great inner mouth fragrance. Full but light. Red fruits. Tannic but balanced and well integrated. Spicy red fruit. You get the elegance of CdV, the spicy red fruit of Monvigliero and the tannins of the Riserva. 94+

Orange fruit characters. More tannic than the 2012 Castello di Verduno Monvigliero Riserva but not as tannic as the 2012 Cavallotto Vignolo Riserva (surprising) and next to it. 93

Tasted blind. Mint, spearmint. Fresh epsom salts. Alcohol is standing out on the nose. Needs another 50+ years.
