Arrived in wine country after lunch and made stops at the Carleton Wine Studio and Clio Hills Vineyards, followed by dinner at Tinas. Some good wines here already...

    Pale yellow color. Classic pinot gris nose. A bit sweet and simple on the palate.

  • 2006 Andrew Rich Sauvignon Blanc Croft Vineyard 88 Points

    Pale yellow color. Very grassy nose. Grassy green /white fruit on the palate with a hint of kiwi and decent acidity. Nice enough but too much grass for me...

  • 2007 Dominio IV Viognier Still Life 91 Points

    Pale yellow color. Nice perfumed viognier nose. Nice bright spicy perfurme carries through on the palate with peach fruit notes. A very nice viognier!

    Bright pink/red color. Forward red cherry candied nose with a hint of heat. Big tight black cherry on the palate where the heat carries through a bit, unfortunately.

  • 2006 Ribbon Ridge Vineyard Cuvée M Dewey Kelly 88 Points

    Bright pink red color. Big black slightly hot fruit nose. Rounder and better balanced than some of the others in the flight with earth along with black cherry fruit, but still somewhat simple.

    Bright red/pink color. Nice round red and black cherry nose with just a hintof brown sugar. Nice sweeter black and red cherry on the palate. Open and easy to drink now.

    Bright pink/red color. medium subdued black cherry core nose. Nice silky red cherry with a note of sweet on the palate. Very nice. 91-92 pts.

  • 2006 Résonance Pinot Noir Resonance Vineyard 88 Points

    USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley, Yamhill-Carlton

    Full pink color. Full strawberry red frui with a raisin note. Paler and rounder on the palate with a more earthy approach, but also less fruit and energy than many of the other, less expensive, examples.

    Medium yellow color. Lovely lifted spicy perfume yellow fruit gewurz nose - very nice. Silky mouthfeel with nice blaanced sweetness and spice. A lovely dessert wine. 93-94 pts.
