  • 2012 Mossik Cellars Cabernet Franc White Rock Vineyards 94 Points

USA, California, Napa Valley, Stags Leap District

    Alpine, UT.
Everything’s here. Fruit, Brett, pyrazines, layers of fruit. It dances on the palate. Medium body, lovely balance and polished texture on the finish.
Ripe shades of white cherry, dried raspberries. The flavors open up more over time and dance with the Brett and mushrooms and stewed peppers. Herbal suggestions.

    It’s just so beautiful.

  • 2023 Mossik Cellars Cabernet Franc Geyserville Vineyard 92 Points

USA, California, Sonoma County, Alexander Valley

An early look! Sweet slight carbonic fruit. Cherry. Red fruit. Medium alcohol, strong acid and strong grippy chewy tannins - I really like the tannin texture. No pyrazines. It’s got some light herbs around the edges - brambly red cherry. Buttered cherry. Beautiful fruit overall - very different style to the White Rock vineyards Cab Francs. Will be excited to see how these evolve.
