  [Double-decanted at 6pm. Tasted around 7pm.] Lovely nose of black fruit and sandalwood. Rich black fruit and balsam. Tannin still prominent in the finish. A hint of oxidation in the long finish. Complex and appealing, but if this bottle is representative, drink up!

  [Opened about a half hour before we tasted it.] Gorgeous botrytis nose. Stunning in the mouth with rich, elegant sweetness and acidity. Not heavy or cloying for a VT. A wow wine!
