Ethereal, long, smooth, long-finished wines served in pretty Carillion shaped decanters; the style is tertiary and velvety, would never think twice about a glass;

    Franc planted by 5th generation, Maurice dominates. Merlot closer to Saint-Émilion and Franc (85y old vines) facing Libourne.

    Steel (both), wood (Merlot), concrete (Franc) vat; Malo in wood; 20-22m ageing. 100pc oak every year; reducing woodiness in recent years, Austrian and medium sized (30hl) barrels for Cabernet Franc for 1Y; not racking de esquive, by a pump; gravity again; flowery, very concentrated, candied red fruit; somewhat austere; vanilla on throat; acids tamed; finesse for sure; liquorice; peppermint; surprisingly 14.5; 2hr decant; 60/40 Merlot/Franc; balance and integration;
