    Dark ruby color, medium translucent edges. Aromas of red currant and black plum, with star anise, black tea, thyme, and clove. Succulent ripeness on the palate, adding fresh blackberry to the mix, along with hints of leather, sweeter spices, and tobacco to the secondary depth. Firm and refined on the middle palate, good acid lift, firm dense tannins, moderately long length with riper fruit notes.

Nicely supporting acid, with fine long tannins, and a long concentrated finish.
