Being the last of a day of greats, we were lucky to have an 09' Figeac presented to us. Briefest of tours, as if on a rush. Crunchy powerful wines with tremendous depth.

Figeac 09: 100pc new oak; 18m, medium toast; twice blended; profound nose, super flowery, exotic nose; graphite, pencil shavings, leather; was punched down; 1/3 Merlot 1/3 Cab 1/3 Franc; Pauillac power, concentrated sweetness, berries; 15y old and still so fresh; tannins are very smooth; acids quite high and tomato-like ripeness; 13.5pc; showstopper;
