Flight 1 (1 Note)

  • 2023 Gérard Bertrand Picpoul de Pinet Reserve 87 Points

France, Languedoc Roussillon, Languedoc, Picpoul de Pinet

Tasted on 1.10.2025 with the Tadında Dünya team in a Provence-themed tasting.

On the nose; intensity is lower comparing to first one, hazelnut-peanut and pear aromas come through but light. The nose felt weak. On the palate; more balanced, again with a salty-mineral structure.

Aromatic profile is not bad, drinking pleasure is higher, only aromatic intensity is low. Other than that; faultless, balanced, the finish is even almost close to long.

Balanced, intensity low, finish medium+, little complexity.

  • 2024 La Cave D'Augustin Florent Picpoul de Pinet 84 Points

France, Languedoc Roussillon, Languedoc, Picpoul de Pinet

Tadında Dünya: Provence: Tasted on 1.10.2025 with the Tadında Dünya team in a Provence-themed tasting. On the nose; minerality is good, slightly gas, florality is present. Acacia dominant, some quince and a slight bitterness as well. On the palate; acidity is high, it has a salty structure, alcohol is felt intensely. On the finish, quite a bitter aroma remains. Saltiness and acidity are nice, but the bitterness and alcohol intensity on the finish reduce the drinking pleasure. Slight balance problem, intensity medium, finish medium, no complexity.

Flight 3 (1 Note)

  • 2024 Château des Marres Côtes de Provence Blanc 2S 83 Points

    France, Provence, Côtes de Provence

Tasted on 1.10.2025 with the Tadında Dünya team in a Provence-themed tasting.

On the nose; slight herbaceous notes, thyme, rosemary, lavender, garrigue?, lemon, slight gas, medium intensity. On the palate, alcohol is again felt, leaving a slight bitterness from the alcohol. Aromatic intensity is suppressed by the alcohol.

On the palate; citrus fruits dominate, with mandarin and orange peel being prominent.
There is also a slight balance problem here. Intensity medium-, finish medium, no complexity.

In blind tasting, I would definitely not say viognier, there is absolutely no viognier character.

  • 2024 Domaine de la Pertuade Côtes de Provence Rosé 85 Points

    France, Provence, Côtes de Provence

Tasted on 1.10.2025 with the Tadında Dünya team in a Provence-themed tasting.

On the nose; intensity is low. On the palate, alcohol is again high, but compared to the previous ones it does not create much of a balance problem. Dry, red fruits are perceived, pomegranate, a hint of watermelon. Aromatic intensity is also quite low on the palate. Clean, easy to drink, a light summer rosé. In blind tasting, it could almost be mistaken for a white wine.

Balanced, aromatic intensity quite weak, finish medium, no complexity.

    France, Provence, Côtes de Provence

Tasted on 1.10.2025 with the Tadında Dünya team in a Provence-themed tasting.

On the nose; intensity is medium. On the palate aromatic intensity is also medium, dominated by red fruits, dry, with an aromatic profile of cotton candy, watermelon, strawberry. A slight sweetness also comes through but it is driven by fruitiness.

This is the wine with the highest aromatic profile so far in the tasting. On the palate there is also a slight yogurt-like texture, the lees effect is noticeable.

On the palate; acidity is high, tannins medium, body medium, finish medium. Flavors of black olive, sour cherry, ivy, quite herbal. The aromatic profile on the palate did not appeal to me much.
